Loved Cleats! After a long day on the water the family and I settled down for dinner on the patio and watched the sunset. Everyone loved the food....so much so, that I only managed to take a photo of our appetizer. I would 1,000% come back for a cold beer, another helping of seafood rangoon dip, some coconut shrimp and walleye!
Beautiful view by the water; however we waited 45 min for a table of 3 on a Saturday evening. And the live music was SO loud that the waitress couldn't even understand us. We were literally shouting. We couldn't carry on a conversation at all. Service was friendly and food tasted okay, but I wouldn't go back when they are having live music.
We stopped at Cleats while visiting Marblehead; we waited over 20 minutes to be seated! We were just about ready to leave when the hostess approached us to be seated. We were a little concerned about how long it would take to get our order and food. Fortunately, a waitress approached us a few minutes later and took our order. Our food arrived in a timely manner also and was pretty good. Barring the time we waited to be seated, we would probably go there again.
This was our first time at Cleats in Marblehead! Our dinner was fabulous and our waitress Alicia was the best. One of the best waitresses we’ve ever had in the 40 years (almost ) September 7th that we’ve been married!! If you read this we are the couple from Oregon, Ohio. We will be back for sure.
Great specials, excellent food and friendly staff. Can't beat the lake side dining with music twice a day on weekends. The wings were cooked perfectly and the unique Erie Island dry rub was killer. Salads were worth having for dinner..fresh and robust. I wish I lived closer as I'd be here for the great happy hours and game time atmosphere. Well done. I'd skip the pizza unless you had a bunch of kiddos to feed.
