I met with Bob from Acclaim to discussing our budget for our kitchen remodel on Nov. 19th 2021. He assured me that his company could do the job. I signed the contract and gave him 2000.00 dollars. His final ( his words) cost analysis was given to us Jan 19th 2022. His offer was 15 thousand dollars past our budget. My husband and I spent two hours with him at his office to design kitchen, which we never got the final plans for. We decided to go with another company in January. No Plans, No plans within budget. I would not hire Acclaim Renovation again. A sunroom addition to our home is beyond the abilities of the company. No engineered drawings resulting in confusion with his sub contractors. Specific request for no particle board walls was over ruled without consultation. No measurements for rough in contractor for any openings. Roof tie in was higher than CAD drawings showed resulting in existing vents being damaged by roofing sub contractor, none of which were replaced even after numerous request. The blueprint, drawn by a professional of 50+ years, is filled with all dimensions. You delayed the project because the tub was not delivered on the day you specified. We had a master bathroom with a walk-in closet done by Acclaim Renovation, , then known as One Man and a Hammer, December 2014-February 2015. We chose One Man and a Hammer based on their years in business, reviews we read online, and the fact that they offered design services. We were very pleased with the design phase. Mark and Bob were extremely pleasant to work with. We appreciated their passion for their work, and both of them had very helpful ideas and input on how to use the space. **** has always been very difficult to deal with. The bathroom turned out gorgeous, and we were paid in full at the final walkthrough. Because we left a window open and locked a door?? The entire area was barricaded by a plastic wall that we installed to control dust. Leaving a window partially open did not cause him any undo harm in any way, shape, or form.
